Get Broadcast Training

We are committed to training and providing opportunity for community members to be part of the media. Most DJs, Public Affairs hosts and producers/reporters at KBCS are community volunteers.

If you are interested in becoming a DJ, host and/or producer/reporter at KBCS you must first take the Basic Broadcasting course. Taking these classes is not a guarantee that a successful student will get an air shift on KBCS.

If you are interested in hosting, producing or reporting for the Public Affairs Department, you can take the Public Radio Journalism course.

Classes are taught every quarter through Bellevue College Continuing Education. These classes provide hands-on training and information on Federal, State and local regulations.
